On the first day, all students take part in a placement test which will determine their language level. The classes are multi-national to encourage constant use of the language.
The teachers are qualified and certified in teaching English to students as a foreign language. At the end of the programme students receive a Certificate of Attendance and an award ceremony is held for the most academically bright students.
The educational programme is accredited and certified by reputable accreditation bodies of Great Britain.
Loughborough University is one of the largest single-site campuses in the UK. The campus resembles a small village and is famous for its world-class teaching, living and especially its sporting facilities including an Olympic size swimming pool. It provides plenty of open spaces, gardens and sports areas mixed with academic buildings and student accommodation. This is a self-contained university environment with on-site restaurants and shops. The university offers students secure living and learning, and is being monitored by CCTV system 24/7. The town is about a 15 minute walk from the campus and can also be easily accessed by bus.
Loughborough is a large town in the East Midlands of England. It is located within 20-minutes travel time of the three famous cities of Leicester, Nottingham and Derby. It is a pleasant market town surrounded by the Soar Valley and Charnwood Forest's beautiful hills. The town is well served by major road and rail routes and there are many green areas and parks with a mix of modern and Victorian buildings. Loughborough is 160 km north west of London and has a train station with direct trains to the tourist destinations of Birmingham and Robin Hood's Sherwood Forest (25 minutes travel time). The town centre is an attractive leisure and entertainment destination.
Accommodation: In single en-suite rooms. The rooms have a desk including a chair and a wardrobe with storage space for the students’ personal belongings. The halls are in close proximity to other buildings on the campus.
The accommodation buildings are equipped with electronic lock while rooms and apartments lock with each student’s key to ensure the highest possible security.
Meal plan: The programme offers three daily meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) at the University's self-service restaurant. On the day of the full-day excursion breakfast and dinner will be offered at the restaurant and packed lunch will be provided.
A full and varied programme of sports, cultural and art activities takes place in the campus areas. This is another great opportunity for students to use the English language and also to have fun and get to know their peers from other countries. The social programme is organised by the staff of the organisation and includes sports, team games (quiz nights, disco parties and treasure hunt) and cultural outings so get ready to party & fun!
The programme could not miss visits to places such us Cambridge, Manchester, York or Warwick Castle!
Due to the campus location, additional visits to the numerous attractions can be arranged on demand.
