Lessons at University of Reading, Reading

On the first day, all students take part in a placement test which will place them in the appropriate level. The classes are multi-national to encourage constant use of the language.

The teachers are qualified and certified in teaching English to students as a foreign language. At the end of the programme students receive a Certificate of Attendance and an award ceremony for the most academically bright students.  

The educational programme is accredited and certified by reputable audit institutions of Great Britain.

The University of Reading has a very long history and reputation over the centuries. It is one of the most notable and popular educational centers worldwide. The lush green Whiteknights Campus is set in 130 hectares of beautiful parklandd. The location is ideal to explore the county of Berkshire and enjoy local visits to the medieval town center of Reading. In an environment of international hospitality, you will have the opportunity to meet children from all over the world and have once-in-a-lifetime experiences with them. The university provides many sports facilities, open courts for various sports – tennis, volleyball, basketball, football – movie, dance and theater screening rooms, library as well as round the clock care and security by experienced staff.

The 24-hour safety & security service is in the capable hands of experienced personnel. The campus also has an in-house doctor to cover any health issue.For the best possible safety of the students, it is monitored by CCTV surveillance.

Location Summer Camp Reading

Laid out along the banks of the rivers Thames and Kennet, the city of Reading is less than half hour by train from central London. It is a fast developing focal point for trade and industry and one of the largest commercial centres in West England. The city is a mix of old and newer buildings. You can visit the Museum of Roman antiques to admire the famous Silchester eagle, amongst others. Hexagon amusement centre provides all sorts of fun and entertainment amongst which is the opportunity to attend musical and theatrical performances.

Reading’s parks and gardens draw hundreds of walkers and joggers or whoever wishes to simply loosen up and enjoy! For those who prefer shopping, on the other hand, the ''high street'' in the city center and the super-modern Oracle shopping center, which is built near the river Kennet, is a must-visit!

Accommodation: In a modern accommodation hall. The University offers single and twin en-suite rooms. The rooms have a desk with chair and wardrobe with storage space for the students’ personal belongings. Towels and bed linen are provided. 

The accommodation buildings are equipped with electronic lock while rooms and apartments lock with each student’s key to ensure the highest possible security.

Meal plan: The programme offers three meals daily (breakfast, lunch and dinner) at the University restaurant. It’s self-service. On the day of the full-day excursion breakfast and dinner will be offered at the restaurant and a prepaid meal card lunch will be provided. 

Entertainment at University of Reading, Reading

A full and varied programme of sports, cultural and art activities takes place in the campus areas. This is another great opportunity for students to use the English language and also to have fun and get to know their peers from other countries. The social programme is organised by the staff of the organisation and includes sports, team games (quiz nights, disco parties and treasure hunt) and cultural outings so get ready to party & fun!

The programme rounds off with full-day excursions and  half-day visits in places like London and Bath! 

Due to the campus location, additional visits to England's capital and its numerous attractions can be arranged on demand.
