On the first day, all students take part in a placement test which will determine their language level. The classes are multi-national to encourage constant use of the language.
The teachers are qualified and certified in teaching English to students as a foreign language. At the end of the programme students receive a Certificate of Attendance and an award ceremony is held for the most academically bright students.
The educational programme is accredited and certified by reputable audit institutions of Great Britain.
Much of the University of Essex dates to the 18th century. Its location is enchantingly lush. The impressive university grounds with their modern and well-kept old buildings are interconnected with pathways to form a small autonomous village, known as the 'Campus.' It has practically everything a student might require such as banks, a theatre, canteen, eateries, and galleries and, as expected, excellent sports facilities, fully- equipped clasrooms and many playing fields, courts and gymnasiums.
The campus is well served by bus services to/from the city centre, bus stops located within the campus
The campus is monitored by CCTV cameras 24/7.
Colchester is on record as Britain’s oldest town. It was England’s capital at one time. Today’s city is modern, with rapid and continuing growth in trade and commerce, high-tech and light industry. Its commercial centre is for pedestrians only.
Colchester is known for its recreation and sports complexes as well as for its diversity of shopping. It is approximately an hour’s ride northeast of London.
Accommodation: In a modern accommodation building, in flats with single en-suite rooms. The rooms have a desk with a chair and wardrobe with storage space for the students’ personal belongings. For every flat there is a communal, fully-equipped kitchen and sitting area.
The accommodation buildings are equipped with electronic lock while rooms and apartments lock with each student’s key to ensure the highest possible security.
Meals: The programme offers three meals daily (breakfast, lunch and dinner) at the University restaurant. It’s self-service. On the day of the full-day excursion breakfast and dinner will be offered at the restaurant and lunch will be provided as packed.
A full and varied programme of sports, cultural and art activities takes place in the campus areas. This is another great opportunity for students to use the English language and also to have fun and get to know their peers from other countries. The social programme is organised by the staff of the organisation and includes sports, team games (quiz nights, disco parties and treasure hunt) and cultural outings so get ready to party & fun!
The programme includes 3 full day excursions in destinations such as London, Colchester, Cambridge and more..
Due to the campus location, additional visits to the numerous attractions can be arranged on demand.
