The celebrated private school founded by Maria Teresa stands out for its high standard of educational and recreational services. The campus is in the centre of Vienna, close to many of the city's major attractions. Set in a verdant park with many playing fields, it fulfils all the sports and recreational requirements a youngster could wish for. Classes are in small groups with emphasis on the pupils’ communication abilities. The boarding house has been recently renovated and offers high-grade facilities. The outings, film screenings, city walks, treasure hunts, waltz and tennis classes and the many sports and leisure activities, round the course off in the best possible way!
Imperial and aristocratic, Vienna is an undoubtedly exceptional city. The metropolis of music owes much of its worldwide renown to the many distinguished composers who lived and worked there, amongst them Strauss, Mozart, Beethoven and Haydn.
Vienna has more museums and galleries of international renown than you can imagine. The Fine Arts Museum contains the world's largest collection of paintings by Bruegel. The Leopold Museum, the Moderner Kunst (Modern Arts Museum), the Architekturzentrum (Architectural Center) and the Kunsthalle, are some of the most essential cultural places to visit.
Traditional cafes and rustic taverns specialising in selections of fine wines, combine with top class restaurants and shops. Long-established artistic events alternate with internationally acclaimed extravaganzas such as the Life Ball, to create a distinctive and very special atmosphere.
Students stay in rooms with 3-4 beds with private shower and shared toilets. The rooms have a desk with chair and wardrobe with storage space for the students’ personal belongings. Bed linen is provided.
Meal plan: The program offers three meals daily (breakfast, lunch and dinner) at the University restaurant. It’s self-service. On the day of the full-day excursion breakfast and dinner will be offered at the restaurant and lunch will be provided as packed lunch.
A full and varied programme of sports, cultural and art activities takes place in the campus areas. This is another great opportunity for students to use the German language and also to have fun and get to know their peers from other countries. The social programme is organised by the staff of the organisation and includes sports, team games (quiz nights, disco parties and treasure hunt) and cultural outings so get ready to party & fun!
The programme rounds off with trips and tours to places such as: Salzburg, Wachau, Laxenburg, Burg Kreuzenste, and Vienna, which are arranged on the spot.
Due to the campus location, additional visits to the numerous attractions of Vienna can be arranged on demand.
