In summer courses, students from 70 different countries meet and learn together. They all have the same goal: Learning German and getting to know the country.
On the first day they take a placement test and they are having 20 lessons of German per week. They improve their German as they concentrate on the primary skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. The main goal of the course is speaking and the confident and fluent usage of the language. The teacher orients the instruction toward practice. This way they learn the language in a creative context. During instruction schools pays particular attention to creating an exciting atmosphere in which students can "play" with the language. The teachers incorporate short tests so to receive feedback on your language skill development.
Did Deutsch-institut is on a quiet street only 15 minutes walk from Brandenburg Gate. It occupies two floors of spacious classrooms. During breaks, students can enjoy their coffee, use the internet or rest in the landscaped outdoors of the institute.
The school also offers areas for private study with digital and printed material and a multimedia room with 6 computers. There is also an internet café.

A city of contrasts is Berlin, modern and traditional. The Brandenburg Gate built in 1788, the Victory Column, the Red Town Hall, the church of Emperor Wilhelm, the Charlottenburg Palace with its English and French gardens, are but a few of the sights worth visiting. Experience exceptional moments at the Metropolis of Arts and pay visits to operas, theatres, galleries, the Museum of Pergamon, with its priceless treasures, and the modern Philharmonic building with its wavy roof. At Potsdamer Platz, you can see a remnant of the Berlin Wall, the demolition of which is a unique symbol of unification. Berlin has the largest area and population of any city in Germany.
The metropolis is characterized by its thirst for life. No day is the same as the previous one. Whoever leaves Berlin for even a few weeks, will on return discover remarkable happenings and unbelievable experimentations, not to mention new galleries, exhibitions and theatrical shows. Take a walk between Hackescher Market and Friedrichstrasse and you will come across more than 40 bars, cafés, trendy shops and galleries.
The residence is not only located in the central most district of Berlin, Berlin Mitte, but also in the heart of the capital city. The building offers all amenities: 2- or 4-bed rooms en suite, a sky lounge with a view over the city, a roof terrace, a garden and modern seminar rooms.
On arrival they receive fresh towels: exchanged 2x per week and fresh bed linens: exchanged once per week. They must bring their own beach towels (i.e., for the swimming pool).Pay washers and dryers are available in the building (approx. €4 per wash/dry).Cleaning service is included.
In Berlin there is a lot to see. Monday through Friday afternoons the leisure program offers a combination of city exploration tours, museum visits, sports and entertainment. On Saturday, they will travel to another large city and spend the whole day underway.
Visits include boat tour or Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, Brandenburg Gate, Pergamon Museum, Holocaust Memorial, Stasi Prison. Day trips include Potsdam, Dresden, Leipzig.
