The summer camp is located on one of the beautiful lakes that surround Berlin, in the little village of Blossin. This camp has fantastic water sports facilities - with lots of canoes, sailing boats and surfing equipment. When German courses finish, in the afternoon, we go canoeing, sailing or surfing. And of course there will be beach parties and barbecues by the lakeside, too. Berlin is only 30 km away: Every week we arrange excursions to Berlin and you´ll get to see all the highlights: Berlin´s neues Downtown: Potsdamer Platz, the Berlin Wall, Museumsinsel
A city of contrasts is Berlin, modern and traditional. The Brandenburg Gate built in 1788, the Victory Column, the Red Town Hall, the church of Emperor Wilhelm, the Charlottenburg Palace with its English and French gardens, are but a few of the sights worth visiting. Experience exceptional moments at the Metropolis of Arts and pay visits to operas, theatres, galleries, the Museum of Pergamon, with its priceless treasures, and the modern Philharmonic building with its wavy roof. At Potsdamer Platz, you can see a remnant of the Berlin Wall, the demolition of which is a unique symbol of unification. Berlin has the largest area and population of any city in Germany.
The metropolis is characterized by its thirst for life. No day is the same as the previous one. Whoever leaves Berlin for even a few weeks, will on return discover remarkable happenings and unbelievable experimentations, not to mention new galleries, exhibitions and theatrical shows. Take a walk between Hackescher Market and Friedrichstrasse and you will come across more than 40 bars, cafés, trendy shops and galleries.
Rooms are 2-3 bedrooms with own shower and bathroom. The rooms have a desk with chair and wardrobe with storage space for the students’ personal belongings. Towels and bed linen are provided. The programme offers three meals daily (breakfast, lunch and dinner) at the University restaurant. It’s self-service.
On the day of the full-day excursion breakfast and dinner will be offered at the restaurant and lunch will be provided as packed.
A full and varied programme of sports, cultural and art activities takes place in the campus areas. This is another great opportunity for students to use the German language and also to have fun and get to know their peers from other countries.
The social programme is organised by the staff of the organisation and includes sports, team games (quiz nights, disco parties and treasure hunt) and cultural outings so get ready to party & fun!
The programme rounds off with full-day excursions and half-day visits every week. Due to the campus location, additional visits to the numerous attractions can be arranged on demand.
