International House London is in Covent Garden in central London. This allows students to practice the language while at the same time discovering and exploring this celebrated European capital.
Using the latest high-tech, the centre is equipped with interactive whiteboards, a library containing more than 10.000 books, to assist students in their learning the language, in-class computers, free WiFi, a digital language laboratory and a computer room.
It is an authorised testing centre for the IELTS, LCCI and TOEIC examinations.
In addition, there is a snack bar providing hot and cold meals, beverages and miscellaneous foodstuffs, as well as a lounge for use during breaks. What’s more, students can unwind in the Sky Lounge on the 5th floor, where they can get to meet fellow students of various nationalities.
All the above, together with the professionalism, long experience and enthusiasm of the teachers, make for a truly rewarding language learning experience.
It is worth noting that International House was a pioneer in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) and in training teachers to be qualified in this respect.
London is the capital of Great Britain and the largest city in Europe. With more than 40 universities, London is a leading European and global destination for higher education. Its sights are countless! In a recent survey, the top ten most visited attractions are the British Museum, National Gallery, Natural History Museum, Tate Modern, London Eye, Science Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Tower of London, Royal Museums Greenwich and Madame Tussaud's.
Nevertheless, we should not overlook Buckingham Palace, the British Parliament, the wonderful Hyde Park, St. James Park & Regents Park, the various cathedrals dotted around the city, the fabulous theatres invariably staging exceptional performances, the innumerable shops and shopping centres that cater daily to thousands of casual buyers and shopaholics. Then, there are the enticing areas of Covent Garden, Kensington, Notting Hill, Soho, and Mayfair with restaurants, eateries, teashops, coffee bars, open-air flea markets and, of course, the city’s iconic landmark, the inimitable Big Ben.
