Headington was established in 1915 and is one of the UK's foremost schools. The School is set in a beautiful, secure location and comprises a mixture of historic and modern buildings, only a short distance from Oxford city centre.
About 50 miles northwest of London and world famous for its academia par excellence, Oxford is an exceptional city that has practically everything, from tranquil colleges, grand buildings and superlative libraries. When walking about town, you cannot but sense the aura of world-renowned universities and intellectual prowess. Oxford has a soul which must be discovered on foot. Otherwise you might fail to appreciate the charm that this town has. Worthwhile is a visit to Blenheim Palace, home of the Duke of Marlborough and where Sir Winston Churchill once resided. Not forgetting Warwick Castle, one of England’s most splendid medieval buildings.
Besides traditional architecture and history, Oxford provides amenities and facilities for the now. At short distances from each other in the centre, are all the major department stores that can cater to the needs of even the most demanding shopper!
Oxford has been a seat of knowledge for over seven centuries and its heritage continues.
There are five boarding houses with separate houses for boys and girls. Accommodation is mostly made up of single and twin rooms, and some small dorms. Students have access to shared bathrooms which are cleaned every day and common room areas for rest and relaxation. Rooms have a desk and small wardrobe for hanging clothes.
Meal plan: The programme offers three meals daily (breakfast, lunch and dinner) at the University restaurant. It’s self-service. On the day of the full-day excursion breakfast and dinner will be offered at the restaurant and lunch will be provided as packed lunch.
Trained staff extends English learning beyond the classroom, with students enjoying a fantastic activity and events program. Headington School has excellent facilities, including a swimming pool, tennis courts and state of the art gym, with swimming, tennis, football, dance, arts, and exploring Oxford just some of the highlights.
