Summer Camp at Stafford House School of English, Canterbury
Lessons at Stafford House School of English, Canterbury
On the first day, all students take part in a placement test which will determine their language level. The classes are multi-national to encourage constant use of the language.
The teachers are qualified and certified in teaching English to students as a foreign language. At the end of the programme students receive a Certificate of Attendance and an award ceremony is held for the most academically bright students.
The educational programme is accredited and certified by reputable audit institutions of Great Britain.
Stafford house provides students 9 hours per week of basketball coaching by accredited coaches. The training focuses on all the skills and techniques used in the game, including dribbling, shooting, passing, court awareness and teamwork. Students are encouraged to practise and demonstrate what they have learnt, through competitive exercises, culminating in exciting tournament each week.

Stafford House School of English, Canterbury - Information about the school
Stafford House was founded in 1952 and is a truly international college, with students from all over the world. It is renowned for the quality of it tuition and congenial atmosphere!
The college is in walking distance from the town centre and open all year round, providing language courses to youngsters and adults alike. The classrooms, lounges and library are located in two separate buildings within five minutes’ walk from each other. Between these are the residences with their private gardens and the restaurant.
Also within walking distance there are a gymnasium, swimming pool and a number of tennis courts.
CCTV cameras operate on campus.
StudyTours has sent thousands of youngsters to attend the various Stafford House courses.
Location Summer Camp Canterbury
Canterbury is in Kent, near England’s southeast coast. It is claimed to have the mildest climate in the whole of Britain and characterised by its warm and hospitable environment.
The town’s most prominent attraction is the medieval cathedral along with the crumbling Roman walls, is existing proof of the town’s enormous history. Strolling along Canterbury’s paved streets, you get a rare sense of timelessness as medieval blends with modern. You will come across Roman constructions, ancient walls, charming gardens, traditional pubs, amiable eateries and contemporary shopping centres that are comparable to those of London. Every year, millions of tourists come to ‘The Garden of England’ as Kent is known, in whose heart so gracefully rests the lovely town of Canterbury.
Canterbury's rich history of pilgrimages is well documented by Geoffrey Chaucer in ''The Canterbury Tales''.
Accommodation, Stafford House School of English, Canterbury
In traditional accommodation halls. Rooms are twin/triple/quadruple rooms with private toilet and shower facilities.
The rooms have a desk with chair and wardrobe with storage space for the students’ personal belongings. Towels and bed linen are provided.
The accommodation buildings are equipped with electronic lock while rooms and apartments lock with each student’s key to ensure the highest possible security.
Meal plan: The programme offers three meals daily (breakfast, lunch and dinner) at the University restaurant. It’s self-service. On the day of the full-day excursion breakfast and dinner will be offered at the restaurant and lunch will be provided as packed.

Entertainment at Stafford House School of English, Canterbury
A full and varied programme of sports, cultural and art activities takes place in the campus areas. This is another great opportunity for students to use the English language and also to have fun and get to know their peers from other countries.
The social programme is organised by the staff of the organisation and includes sports, team games (quiz nights, disco parties and treasure hunt) and cultural outings so get ready to party & fun!
The programme rounds off with a full-day trip to London, Brighton or Cambridge and a visit to the city of Canterbury or Leeds Castle every week.
Due to the campus location, additional visits to the numerous attractions can be arranged on demand.
