Don Quijote is one of the leading Spanish educational institutions with numerous learning centres in almost all of Spain and in Latin America. A pioneer in teaching the Spanish language, it aims at learners after in-depth and high-grade knowledge. All centres are officially recognized by the state institutions of Spain. A significant advantage and factor worth mentioning, is that the courses are also well attended by Spanish students. The school is in the heart of Madrid, next to the Palacio de Liria.
Don Quijotes facilities are on the first 3 floors of a historic building and extend over an area of 1.800 m2. The building was renovated to offer the latest amenities whilst retaining the charm of typical Madrileño architecture. It is a fully equipped academic hub with 38 rooms covering 1.300 m2. It also offers 500 m2 of common spaces, including a comfortable seating area, at which to relax between classes or chat with friends while enjoying a drink or snack from the vending machines. A state of the art computer room provides availability to any of 20 computers or if you have own a laptop, simply connect to the school’s free WiFi network.
Madrid is an architectural open-air museum. On route between the airport and the centre, the cosmopolitan nature of the city becomes quite apparent as you ride along wide boulevards and verdant roads, passing majestic buildings and magnificent architectural masterpieces. Examples of such, are the main post office building shaped like a wedding cake, a host of buildings adorned with triumphal arches, bank buildings that rise like Renaissance castles, as well as postmodern skyscrapers such as the Puerta Europa twin towers that were built in 1996 and which slant towards each other.
Madrid’s history starts from its west end, where the Royal Palace is today. Plaza Mayor is the largest and most attractive square of the city. The aristocratic mansions around the open area are the perfect place for residents and visitors to Madrid to stroll, sit for a coffee or try traditional Spanish appetizers, tapas, sangria and paella. Centro Español with its noble classicism, is an incredibly elegant building, while the focal point of Plaza de Cibeles is the conspicuous building of the Bank of Spain.
